Omar Burch-Smith

Mr. Omar Burch-Smith is the Regional Collective Investment Scheme Manager for UTC Fund Management Services STL Limited who possesses over 16 years' progressive banking and finance experience. Omar provides leadership to the Fund Management Company for UTC Global Balanced Fund Limited, the first retail Mutual Fund in the ECCU. Omar recently served as County Manager at First Citizens Investment Services Limited St. Lucia where he served as Senior Principal in the OECS for the organization and led a Team of investment and finance professionals responsible for providing investment solutions to clients and brokerage services to governments and other private and public sector institutions in the ECCU for the sale & issuance of debt & equity securities. He also served as Business Development Manager at FCIS where he was responsible for the development, generation, and co-ordination of new business in the Eastern
Caribbean. Prior to joining First Citizens, he served as a Corporate Relationship Manager at Bank of Saint Lucia Limited for 7 years. He recently served as the Chairman of the Inner Working Group of OECS Brokers (IWG) and the General Secretary of the Saint Lucia Bankers Association. Omar holds a BSc. & MSc. in Banking & Finance from the University of the West Indies Mona and Cave Hill Campuses respectively
